I’m just dropping a line to let you know I’m not able to post today. I’m in the hospital with a not serious infection of some kind. So I am being catered to my every whim and have a beautiful menu of any kind of food for any time of day. Of course nothing has added salt.

Your posts will be the highlight of my weekend, so drop me a line if you have a minute, dear friends.

Well, that’s a bummer! Please take care and make sure not to catch anything else while in the hospital!! You’ll be in my thoughts, Dear One.

  2. I hope you get out of there quickly!! But it’s so good that you are where you are if you have an infection that is serious enough to put you there. Lots of weird stuff going around all the time.

Here’s a little joke to brighten your day.

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn’t need my help to leave the hospital.

After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.

On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.

“I don’t know,” he said. “She’s still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.”
    xx, Carol

  4. Hi Paula,
So sorry to hear your body is not cooperating with you today! I’m praying that the antibiotics do their job quickly and clobber that infection! You made me realize that another week has gone by wthout me doing a blog post. I am having a hard time getting back into the groove. I will try to get one done today so you can see what I’ve been up to! I always enjoy hearing from you and hope you recover quickly!

Get well soon, Paula! Enjoy being pampered as you recover from your infection. Sometimes, we just have to kick back and give our bodies a break. I’ll keep thoughts of you close to my heart!
