This week I have completed a baby quilt top using many of my large stash of charm squares. I first stitched pairs using turquoise and pink charms, then making rows of ten squares each. It took seven rows to make a 40×36-inch top.
I have a backing ready to go, a one yard piece of beige print. This is going to a collection of baby Quilts going to Texas. These will be receiving blankets for Mexican mothers giving birth near the border. In that hot climate batting is not needed, so I’m using some of my stash to make more of these blankets.
I’m also planning to do a pink top for a fleece I’ve had around long enough. These wide strips will be stitched and flipped for an easy child’s blanket.
So there are the finishes waiting for me and I hope to show them soon (maybe). And I will be linksing up with Angela at http://superscrappy.blogspot.com/ and Cynthia at http://quiltingismorefunthanhousework.blogspot.com/
