I’ve been working on some 8-1/2-inch improv blocks lately, planning for a collection to set on a grey background. My first attempt was a piece I called Big Rock Candy Mountain.

I could not get the sky pieces to fit right by turning them upside down and inside out. So I had to switch to plain purple without the streak of light. This went much better and I quickly made three blocks.

It was then I remembered doing improv blocks for Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I dug out nine of those blocks from 2016. Ahah! My three blocks mixed right in and with this dozen blocks I can do a nice project.

Talk about a great use for those UFOs. And it does include red for Rainbow Scrap Challenge and I’ve met my deadline again.

I’m excited to see all of your colorful projects, so I’m linking up with Angela at http://superscrappy.blogspot.com/ and Cynthia at http://quiltingismorefunthanhousework.blogspot.com/
